The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry is urging livestock and pet house owners to take precautions to protect their animals ahead of freezing temperatures. All of this has surged even more during the COVID-19 pandemic, for several causes. The First Baptist Church of DeQuincy neighborhood says the church shall be open to ‘anyone needing a heat meal and place to remain during the cold weather’ starting Friday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m. As temperatures drop, pets need to find a warm place to remain throughout frigid weather. A helpless Chinese woman reportedly needed to watch her canine destroy all of the issues in her front room and wardrobe by way of surveillance camera through the first half of a 14-day quarantine.
