The first commercially-available colour images process, Autochrome, was released in 1907 and was based mostly on improvements by Louis Ducos Hauron and Charles Cros. However, these processes proved too expensive for the basic public, and it wasn’t till Kodachrome film was made obtainable in 1936 that colour images got here into widespread public use. The next major revolution in photography would come in 1990 when the first commercially-available digital digital camera, the Dycam Model 1, was released. Amateur photographers take pictures for personal use, as a pastime or out of casual curiosity, rather than as a business or job. The high quality amateur work could be corresponding to that of many professionals. Amateurs can fill a niche in subjects or topics which may not in any other case be photographed if they aren’t commercially helpful or salable.
