Bushpigs developed related medical signs and lesions as home pigs. Consistent lesions included necrotizing and ulcerative enteritis, suppurative rhinitis and pneumonia (Fig. eight.10). Renal petechiae can also be present, much like ASFV infection (Fig. eight.10c). Histologically, affected animals also had lymphoid necrosis and depletion. Perivascular cuffs in a quantity of organs were observed in surviving animals.
