Later, Louis Daguerre developed a method of developing images on steel that lowered exposure time and created sharper, extra steady footage. His “daguerreotype” course of was commercially released in 1893 and helped popularize photographic technology all over the world among the center classes, especially in the space of portraiture. Paper-based methods first developed by Henry Fox Talbot would finally substitute the metal-based daguerreotype.
